David Cook

David Cook is an experienced executive currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Coast Sequestration since October 2023. Prior to this role, David held various leadership positions, including Chair of the Board and Independent Director at Co-Creating Mutual Value from January 2021 to March 2025, and Non-Executive Director at VAALCO Energy, Inc. from October 2022 to June 2023. David's previous roles include Managing Director at Storegga, Director and Board Chair at TransGlobe Energy Corporation, and Chief Executive Officer at Noreco. David has also served as CEO at INEOS DeNoS and DONG Oil & Gas, and held the role of Executive Officer and Head of Oil & Gas at TAQA. Early in David's career, key positions included Vice President for BP Russia. David's educational background includes a PhD in Geological Sciences from Michigan State University and an Executive Business School Certificate from Rice Business.
