Zak Whitaker

Zak Whitaker is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in the field. As the Owner and Operator of Whitaker Engineering Co. since January 2003, Zak also holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Gulf Coast Solutions, Inc. since October 2019. Previous roles include Senior Software Developer at PublicInput.com, Senior Developer at Transcend Spatial Solutions, and Lead Software Engineer at the NC Department of Transportation, where Zak worked for over a decade. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at the North Carolina Department of Justice. Zak earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from East Carolina University and has additional education from North Carolina State University and Dillon's Aviation.
