Molly Auclair

Connected Learning Ecosystem Specialist at Gulf of Maine Research Institute

Molly Auclair joined GMRI’s education department in September 2013, as a LabVenture Fellow. Over her years here she has contributed to all of GMRI’s education programs and is now a full-time member of the Vital Signs Team.

In her role, Molly leads Vital Sign’s teacher professional development efforts. This includes supporting educators from across the region in their efforts to increase and deepen authentic science investigations in and out of their classrooms. Before joining GMRI, Molly worked at both the Baxter State Park and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, as an Environmental Educator for AmeriCorps and the Maine Conservation Corps.

She received her BS in Biology and German Studies from Guilford College, and her MS in Marine Science from the University of New England, where she was also an NSF GK-12 Graduate Fellow. Her field research includes grey whale acoustics, saltmarsh ecology, and Great Blue Heron nesting behavior.
