James Chester

James Chester has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James is currently the Managing Director at Gumband, an interactive experiences operating system company. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategist for global brands and startups as a self-employed consultant. James also held the role of VP, Global Business - Data, Technology & Product at Starcom, where they led the digital transformation of Samsung's global media business. Before that, they worked at Publicis Health Media in various roles, including VP, Media Technology, Director, Media Technology, and Assoc Director, Media Technology. James also has experience as a Manager of Media Optimization and Technology at Digitas Health and as a Digital Strategist in freelance roles. James co-founded Renew Design Group, where they served as a CoFounder and handled branding, web development, and marketing campaigns. James also worked as a Design Engineer at CMX and as an Architectural Engineer at Ewing Cole early in their career.

James Chester's education history includes attending altMBA in 2021. Prior to that, they studied Interaction Design at UC San Diego from 2016 to 2017. James obtained a degree in Structural Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, James obtained certifications as a Section4 Certified Strategist and a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist from Section4 in 2021.
