Alexander Kamentsev has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of art and game development. Alexander is currently employed as an Art Producer at Gunzilla Games since January 2023. Previously, they worked at Creative Assembly for six years, starting in February 2016. During their tenure, they held various positions including Principal Environment Artist, Lead Environment Artist, and 3D Environment Artist. Their responsibilities included content and pipeline creation, team mentoring, and quality control. Alexander also closely collaborated with the graphics programming team to improve projects and the engine. Notable projects that they worked on include Total War: Warhammer 3 and Total War Saga: TROY. Prior to their time at Creative Assembly, Alexander held the role of Lead 3D Environment Artist at Fox3D Studios from July 2015 to January 2016. Alexander also served as a Lead 3D Environment Artist at Game Insight from May 2014 to June 2015, where they managed the Art Department and oversaw full project production. Before that, they worked as a Freelance Artist from October 2013 to May 2014. Alexander started their career at Mail.Ru in May 2010 as a 3D Environment Artist, where they were involved in games content creation and utilized their skills in high-poly modeling, texturing, and rendering. Alexander's career began in 2008 as a 3D Environment Artist at .dat, where they worked until January 2009.
Alexander Kamentsev began their education at IT Lyceum 1533 in the year 2002, where they completed an unspecified degree and field of study. From 2005 to 2011, they attended Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) and earned a Master's degree in Design with a focus on VFX for Film & Television. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institute and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Design and Applied Arts from 2011 to 2014.
