Game Translator, Editor at Logrus Global

Denis Phoenix began their career in 2011 as a Translator, Editor, Playtest, and QA for Valve Corporation. In 2012, they took on a role as a Translator and QA for Logrus Global, and a Translator and Localization QA for Blizzard Entertainment. In 2013, they became an English Second Language Teacher for Linguist Language Center. In 2014, they were a Translator, Editor, and QA for Anakan GmbH (a division of Lionbridge Game Services). From 2015 to 2021, Denis Phoenix worked at Lotek NZ Ltd as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Services Manager, and Production Engineer. In 2021, they became a Game Translator and Editor for Logrus Global. In 2020, they were a Translator and Editor for AWATERA. Currently, Denis Phoenix is a Creative Producer and Founding Member at MITA Studios, where they are responsible for writing lore for the in-game world, creating pre-production roadmaps, managing production pipelines, and providing input into game design and level design.

Denis Phoenix has a diverse educational background. Denis completed a BE(Hons) in Humanities, Microelectronics and solid-state electronics, and Mathematics from Bryansk State Technical University (BSTU) from 2007 to 2012. Denis then went on to obtain a PDGE in Linguistics and Teaching RSL from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2013 to 2014. Following that, they completed a Specialization in Game and Interactive Media Design from California Institute of the Arts from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they are enrolled in a Specialization in Creative Writing at Wesleyan University from 2021 to 2023, as well as a Specialization in Game Design and Development with Unity at Michigan State University from 2021 to 2022. In addition, they have obtained various certifications throughout their educational journey, such as Introduction to Video Game Production from Udemy in June 2022, Health & Safety Leadership for Frontline Managers from IMPAC in May 2022, Agile with Atlassian Jira from Atlassian in April 2022, and IELTS Band 8 from IELTS USA in December 2014.
