Alison Cozad

Alison Cozad has worked in the field of optimization engineering since 2020, when they began working as an Optimization Engineer at Gurobi Optimization. Prior to this, they worked at ExxonMobil from 2014-2020 in a variety of roles. As a Senior Data Science Team Lead, they mentored and coached a team of 7 data scientists, ensuring delivery of high quality decision support analyses and tools. Alison also identified and built high-value data science use cases by establishing relationships with global business lines. As a Crude Quality and Optimization Engineer, they coordinated a global network of 30+ colleagues across 10+ countries to facilitate sharing and collaboration in crude optimization and characterization technology. Alison was also the point of contact for a third party software company. Lastly, they held the role of Real-time Optimization Engineer.

Alison Cozad holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering & Optimization from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Alison obtained their BS between 2005 and 2009.
