Rodrigo Fuentes

Rodrigo Fuentes has worked in the software engineering field since 2003. Rodrigo began their career at Siemens, where they held the roles of Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. As Staff Software Engineer, they were Team Lead for Unit Commitment application, and implemented enhancements for Cost Minimization Market Applications. As Senior Software Engineer, they were responsible for implementing different business processes and interfaces to handle large data volume transfers. In 2002, they joined OATI as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed a model for optimally allocating the use and dispatch of generation units and hydro plans. In 2019, they joined Open Systems International as a Principal Consultant II and Principal Consultant. Most recently, in 2020, they began working at Gurobi Optimization as a Technical Account Manager.

Rodrigo Fuentes holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, as well as a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes (VE).
