Naz Afshar

Naz Afshar joined the firm in June 2000 and was admitted to the partnership in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Naz was a tax manager with the international accounting firm of KPMG. She has over 20 years of experience in tax, accounting and business consulting serving small to middle market closely held businesses, professional services companies, non-profit organizations, high net worth individuals and estate and trusts in the following industries: retail, manufacturing, post-production, law firms, real estate and real estate professionals as well as professionals in entertainment industry. In this capacity, Naz has developed expertise in the following subject areas: multi-state income and franchise tax matters (C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and Limited Liability Corporations), FAS 109, estate and trust including preparing trust accounting, and non-profit organization tax compliance. In addition, she has developed considerable experience in bankruptcy matters including insolvency and preference analysis, and tax preparation.
