Ian Chong

Ian Chong is an experienced web developer and project leader with a strong focus on empowering Malaysian youth through personal and professional development initiatives. Currently serving as a freelance web developer at GuruLab since December 2021, Ian designs and manages the company's Squarespace website. Previously, as Co-Director of Project Development and Initiatives at the International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates, Ian led a team of eight Associates in collaborative projects and won a debate at the EY Roundtable on AI regulation. Ian's background also includes engagement with the elderly community in technology education through Project AEGIS and leadership roles in school, including Head School Photographer and Head Prefect. Ian holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
