Kartik Khanna

Kartik Khanna is an accomplished leader in machine learning and artificial intelligence with extensive experience across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Machine Learning & AI at Gusto since February 2019, Kartik is responsible for driving Generative AI initiatives focusing on customer applications and operational efficiency. Prior to this role, Kartik headed Risk Data Science at Gusto, overseeing teams in fintech data science, including payments and credit risk. Previous positions include Lead Data Scientist at Bill.com, where foundational work in machine learning for risk detection was established, and Senior Data Scientist at Travelers, where innovative solutions for entity matching were developed. Kartik's career also includes roles at Carewise Health in product development and analytics, as well as early experiences at Allianz Life and Masco Contractor Services. Kartik holds a Master's degree in Signal Processing & Wireless Communications from UC Santa Barbara.
