Perry Hertler

Perry Hertler is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in developing complex applications and modernizing architectures. Currently a Software Engineer at Gusto since March 2022, notable contributions include the creation of self-service webhooks, introduction of date-based API versioning, and improvement of API authorization. Previously, Perry held key engineering roles at Vericred, Inc. and GetG5, where significant achievements included leading a transition from a monolithic Rails application to an event-driven micro-service architecture. Additional experience spans roles as an independent consultant specializing in Ruby on Rails, CTO at Pathfinder Development, and Technical Software Architect at Redpoint Tech, among others. Perry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
