Marilyn Maitland

Marilyn Maitland has extensive work experience in the advertising industry. Marilyn is currently working as a Creative Director at GUT, where they have been since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Creative Director at GUT from March 2021 to July 2021. Marilyn also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Humber College from September 2020 onwards, teaching in the Bachelor of Creative Advertising program.

In addition, Marilyn has been involved in mentoring at Miami Ad School Toronto from July 2021 to September 2021. Before their current roles, they worked as a Freelance ACD and Art Director from April 2018 to March 2021. Marilyn has also held positions at john st. as a Sr. Art Director from July 2016 to December 2017, at GTB as an Associate Creative Director from September 2015 to August 2016, and as a Sr. Art Director from September 2014 to September 2015.

Marilyn'searlier experiences include working as an Art Director at Young & Rubicam from October 2011 to September 2014, and at Crispin Porter + Bogusky as an Art Director from May 2011 to September 2011. Marilyn began their career as an Art Director at FCB Global in December 2009, where they worked until May 2011. Throughout their career, Marilyn has developed creative solutions and high-level communications for various channels and clients, worked closely with strategic planners to execute brand strategies, and managed teams of writers, art directors, and designers.

Marilyn Maitland attended OCAD University from 2006 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Design (BDes.) degree in Graphic Design with Honours.
