Alexander J. Banz

Alexander J. Banz is currently a Board Member at GUURU. Prior to this, they were with Tambora Systems, Swiss Post, OXYCOM, Pryv, Niton Capital Partners S.A., Tribune Capital Partners, Cubiworld, and 3i Group plc.

Banz has over 28 years of experience in the telecommunications and media industries. Alexander has expertise in investments, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

From 1991 to 1999, Banz worked for KPN Telecom in various capacities, including M&A. Alexander then joined 3i Group plc as a partner from 1999 to 2003.

In 2005, Banz became the CEO of Cubiworld, a video streaming company. Alexander remained in this role until 2006 when they left to join Tribune Capital Partners as a partner.

Banz stayed with Tribune Capital Partners until 2010 when they left to join Niton Capital Partners S.A. as a partner. At Niton Capital, Banz was responsible for investments in renewable energy projects.

Banz left Niton Capital in 2014 to join OXYCOM as Chairman Advisory Board. Alexander held this position until 2018 when they left to join GUURU as a Board Member.

Alexander J. Banz has an MBA from IMD and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
