Hussain Ahmad

Hussain Ahmad is an experienced professional in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, currently serving as a Licensed Representative of Mercer Investments HK at Guy Carpenter since October 2019, where responsibilities include supporting clients in Insurance Linked Securities issuance in Hong Kong and establishing a new ILS practice. Previously, Hussain held various leadership positions at Swiss Re from 2013 to 2019, including Head of Reinsurance Liability Management for APAC, leading initiatives in post-placement management and cash flow oversight, and as a Structurer, where innovative reinsurance contracts were created. Earlier career roles included significant leadership at Willis Towers Watson, where Hussain managed the General Insurance Consulting team for Southeast Asia, and a focus on regulatory development at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Hussain's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Actuarial Science from Drake University and a Master of Finance in Financial Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.
