Melanie le Roux

Melanie Le Roux has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the insurance and financial industry. Melanie is currently working at Guy Carpenter as a Senior Vice President and Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst since April 2023. Prior to that, they held roles at Willis Re as a Divisional Director and Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst. Melanie also worked at Advent Underwriting Limited and Tokio Millennium Re AG as an Analyst, specializing in Aggregation & Catastrophe Modelling. Melanie began their career at Royal Bank of Scotland, where they gained work experience in HR and data handling. Overall, they have extensive experience in catastrophe risk analysis and modelling.

Melanie Le Roux has a diverse education history. Melanie completed their MSc in Globalisation & Latin American Development at UCL-Americas from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a BA Hons in Spanish & English from the University of Leeds between 2005 and 2009. Melanie also spent a year at the Universidad de Alcalá as part of the ERASMUS program in 2007-2008, studying Art and History. Melanie completed their International Baccalaureate at Dartford Grammar School in 2003-2005, with a focus on Higher Spanish, English Literature, and Geography. Melanie also studied Standard Maths, Biology, and Music. Apart from their academic qualifications, Melanie has an additional certification in CCRA from RMS.
