Vice President - Asia Pacific & Oceania at G&W Electric

Giin Sia has a comprehensive work experience spanning over 26 years in the energy industry. Giin started their career at ABB in 1993, where they held various roles in key account management, technical and marketing, and business development. During their time at ABB, they managed the sales and marketing activities of LV Products and Systems in the Asia-Pacific/SEA markets.

In 2005, Giin Sia joined S&C Electric Company as the Area Manager for the Southwest Pacific region. Giin was responsible for driving business growth and establishing a strong presence in the APAC region. Giin successfully turned around underperforming businesses, expanded operations across Southeast Asia, and increased market offerings and presence.

From 2015 to 2018, Giin Sia served as the Regional Director for Asia Pacific at NEC Energy Solutions. In this role, they developed and implemented a regional growth strategy, oversaw end-to-end business operations, and drove business development and sales pipelines to achieve regional targets.

In 2019, Giin Sia briefly worked at DNV GL as the Principal Consultant and Energy Storage Business & Operations Lead for APAC. During this time, they provided consultancy services and assisted in the development and launch of new service lines within energy storage and microgrid technology.

Currently, Giin Sia holds the position of Vice President - Asia Pacific & Oceania at G&W Electric Co. In this strategic regional management role, they are responsible for establishing and driving business activities with electric utilities, regional electric distributors, contractors, and commercial & industrial clients. Their main objective is to increase the business volume year-on-year for the region.

Giin Sia completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at RMIT University from 1987 to 1990. Later, from 2001 to 2003, Giin Sia pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
