Lewis Cooksey

Lewis Cooksey has extensive experience in local government management, currently serving as Assistant County Administrator for Gwinnett County Government since August 2008, overseeing Program Delivery as well as Intermodal, Traffic Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Groups. Prior to this role, Lewis Cooksey was the President of True Vine Engineering, Inc. from July 2004 to August 2008, where responsibilities included leading a small business focused on residential and commercial development planning. Lewis Cooksey holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University. Additionally, Lewis Cooksey obtained a Certificate of Local Government Management from the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government in 2011.
