Mazin Qays B.Sc.Eng P.Eng MMP has over 20 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Mazin is currently working as a Technical Services Manager at GWL Realty Advisors, where they started in January 2020. Prior to this, they were an O&M Site Supervisor at Johnson Controls from April 2018 to October 2019, and a Lead Building Engineer at CBRE from February 2017 to April 2018. Mazin also has experience as a Chief Engineer at Silver Hotel Group from August 2015 to January 2017, and as a Fuel Manager at GAL Power Systems Toronto Ltd. from February 2014 to August 2015. Mazin worked as a Senior Review Engineer at the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change from 2012 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Mazin served as an Operation and Maintenance - Shift Engineer at Kessinger Hunter and held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hasan Allam Construction Company. Mazin started their career as a Project Engineer at General Electricity Energy Production and later became the Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Head of Turbine Department. Overall, Mazin Qays has a diverse background in engineering and has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

Mazin Qays has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UOB. Mazin also obtained a Professional Certificate in Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) from Humber College, specializing in Plant Engineering and Maintenance. This certificate was issued by the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) in August 2019. In addition to their education, Mazin Qays also holds additional certifications including a PEng. (Professional Engineer) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario, obtained in April 2014, and a 4th Class Power Engineer certification from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), obtained in March 2011. Mazin has also completed PMI Prep Courses from PMI.
