Luisa Valentim Barros serves as the Head of Business Development at WayCarbon since April 2023, after holding multiple significant roles in the renewable energy sector. Currently, Luisa is also a Professor of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Business Model Innovation at Ibmec, contributing to an ESG MBA program. As a member of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition, Luisa focuses on engineering pathways for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Additional roles include mentoring for the Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition and previously serving as Strategy Consulting Director at CELA and Energy and Natural Resources Director at Scala Data Centers, where strategic initiatives for renewable energy were structured across Latin America. Luisa's extensive experience is backed by advanced degrees in Energy and Industrial Engineering, complemented by various professional development courses in green technologies and business analytics.
