Cristina Villalba Veira

Cristina Villalba Veira has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cristina is currently working as the Head of Communications for Iberia at GXO Logistics, Inc. Cristina also held the position of Head of Communications for Supply Chain at XPO Logistics, Inc. for a brief period in 2021. Previously, they served as the Director of Communications at Kreab España from 2020 to 2021. Cristina has a background in military aviation communications, having worked as the Head of Communications for European Military Aviation at Babcock International Group from 2018 to 2020 and as the Head of Communications at Babcock España from 2017 to 2020. Cristina also has experience in the energy sector, where they worked as the Director of External Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Viesgo in 2016. Prior to that, Cristina served as the Communications and Institutional Relations Director at FINNOVA (EU) from 2014 to 2016, focusing on international communication of European projects. Cristina started their career in the public sector, working as the Communications Coordinator at Fundación Biodiversidad and later as the Spokesperson for European Union Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain. Cristina has also held the position of Director of External Communication and Institutional Relations at Barclays Bank (Spain), where they advised senior management on external relations and was responsible for institutional events and relations.

Cristina Villalba Veira has a diverse education history. In 1989 to 1995, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. In 1994 to 1995, they pursued further studies in Journalism at Université catholique de Louvain. In 2011 to 2012, Cristina attended IESE Business School, completing a Programme on Leadership on the Public Management. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "What Is Generative AI?" from LinkedIn, and "Social Media and Community Manager" from Asociación de la Prensa de Madrid.
