Nicky Hughes

Nicky Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nicky is currently working as the Vice President of Communications at GXO Logistics, Inc., starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held several roles at Network Rail from 2014 to 2023, including Director of Communications and Director of Western Route Communications & Major Projects. Nicky also worked at British Army as a Media Operations Officer from 2001 to 2014, and at Atkins as the Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Public Affairs for their Defense Division in 2013. Furthermore, they worked at London 2012 as the Head of Government Relations & Public Affairs from 2006 to 2012, and at Grayling as a Director from 1999 to 2006. Their early career includes a role as a Private Secretary to Sports Minister at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in 1998.

Nicky Hughes earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Politics from the University of Bristol, graduating in 1996.
