Dr. Manouchehr Rafie

Vice President of Advanced Technologies - AI Chips at Gyrfalcon Technology Inc.

Dr. Manouchehr Rafie has a long and varied work experience. Dr. Manouchehr began working as an Adjunct Professor at UC Berkeley in 1992. In 1999, they became the CTO of Wireless Communications at CALY Networks, where they directed and managed a complete chipset from concept to implementation. In 2002, they moved to National Semiconductor (TI) as a Technical Director, where they directed and led the design and implementation of an ultra low-power multi-band/mode/standard 3G chipset. In 2003, they became the VP Engineering/CTO at Avide Wireless, where they led the development of four high-quality video streamings utilizing IEEE802. 11a/g and TCMA (TDMA/CSMA) MAC technologies. In 2004, they joined Avnera (Skyworks) as a Technical Director, where they defined, verified and validated a high-quality wireless audio product. In 2005, they moved to Ikanos Communications (Qualcomm) as a Technical Director of Product Technologies, where they were responsible for architectural definition and specification for LTE (Gateway), product management, product marketing and full chipset definition for the Next-Gen state-of-the-art Vectoring/MIMO A/VDSLx and Home Networking (G. hn) products. In 2012, they became the Senior Director of Engineering at Argela Technologies. In 2014, they were appointed Vice President of Access Products and Technologies at Exalt Wireless. In 2016, they became the CEO of HyperCell AI (Consulting). Finally, in 2018, they were appointed Vice President of Advanced Technologies - AI Chips at Gyrfalcon Technology Inc.

Dr. Manouchehr Rafie received their Ph.D. in Wireless Communications from The University of Kansas.
