Katerina Szylo

Katerina Szylo is a skilled academic and professional with extensive experience in editing, research, public health, and campaign organization. Currently serving as a Book Review Editor for H-Net: Humanities & Social Sciences On-Line, Szylo promotes Ukrainian studies and collaborates with editorial teams to enhance visibility for H-Ukraine. Previous roles include a Research Assistant at the University of Amsterdam, where research focused on open-source cultures related to Russia's War on Ukraine, as well as a Public Health Case Investigator for the New York State Department of Health, where Katerina worked on COVID-19 documentation and training. Szylo has also engaged in electoral campaigns as a Field Organizer for Sara Gideon for U.S. Senate, managing volunteer operations and increasing voter turnout. In addition to various internships in journalism and law, Szylo’s academic qualifications include ongoing doctoral studies in History at the University of Oxford and multiple master's degrees in International Relations and Politics and Communication from prestigious institutions.
