Ololade Faniyi

Ololade Faniyi is a Staff Researcher at the Atlanta Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Network, where responsibilities include managing projects, facilitating events, and producing newsletters focused on ethical AI use in the humanities. Concurrently, Ololade serves as an H-Africa Editor for H-Net: Humanities & Social Sciences On-Line, contributing to discussions and academic content relevant to Africanist interests. As a Regional Advisor for FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund, Ololade supports young feminist activism across Africa by screening applications and enhancing partner capacities. Previous experience includes a Data Fellow position at Cornell University's Freedom on the Move project, Graduate Research Assistant at Bowling Green State University, and Editor-in-Chief for KUJUA: Journal of The African Studies Students' Association. Ololade's education includes a current PhD program in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University, alongside graduate degrees in American Culture Studies and African Studies from Bowling Green State University and the University of Ibadan, respectively.
