Matthew Phillipps has a diverse work experience. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at HRD Aero Systems Inc. as an Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for the management of engineering personnel and performance of the department. Matthew also designed and developed several aircraft emergency system parts, high pressure systems, thermo/mechanical systems and composite based systems, and assisted in securing several multi-million dollar contracts with major airlines. From 2006 to 2011, they also held an internship at California State University, Northridge, where they researched various programming languages and control systems for virtual reality environments. Additionally, they explored the use of virtual reality environments for CNC machining, CAD/CAM interfacing and NC Programming training, and applied knowledge of the design and manufacturing process to create virtual "hands-on" training simulations. Finally, from 2011 to present, they have been working at H2scan Corporation as a Mechanical Engineering Manager. In this role, they are responsible to the CTO and CEO for the management of mechanical engineering projects, personnel and overall performance of the mechanical engineering department. Matthew also coordinates daily with a team of physicists and engineers on R&D and product development projects.
Matthew Phillipps completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 2002 and 2005, studying Mechanical Engineering.
