Software Engineering Manager, Chemometrician at H&A Scientific

Eric Cash is the Software Engineering Manager for H&A Scientific and has over 20 years of development experience. He currently is the project lead for SLIM, the SLIM Report Generator, SIM and OPTDISS. These projects range from software to store drug stability information in a variety of database platforms to software that interfaces with instrumentation to collect and analyze spectroscopic data. He also supports development for the other ongoing development projects at H&A Scientific including customization projects and data conversions.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree at East Carolina University in the field of Chemistry. He followed with a Master of Science degree at East Carolina University in the field of Analytical Chemistry with a concentration in Chemometrics. He studied the application of mathematical models to different forms of spectroscopy including UV-Vis, NIR, and Raman spectroscopy. His focus was on self-modeling curve resolution and the concept of batch reaction monitoring. This included creating graphical user interfaces for mathematical tools that could be shared with users in the pharmaceutical industry.
