Michael Scaggs

Michael Scaggs is a seasoned optical design engineer with extensive experience in high power lasers, including excimer, multi-kilowatt fiber, and CO2 lasers. Currently, Michael serves as a Senior Optical Design Engineer at Haas Laser Technologies, Inc., a position held since January 2013. Previously, Michael held the role of Optical Engineer at Neoteric Concepts, LLC from August 2007 to May 2019. Earlier career positions include Director of US Operations at Exitech, Inc., Regional Sales Manager at Oerlikon, and various roles as Director of Customer Support at Lambda Physik USA, Inc. and its affiliated companies. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago and an Associate of Science degree in Laser Electro-Optics from Texas State Technical College.
