Noor Bagajo (MIHRM)

Noor Bagajo has a diverse and extensive background in human resources. They began their career as an HR Assistant/Volunteer at Kenya Red Cross in 2007. They then moved on to Equity Bank Limited, where they served as Deputy Manager of Human Resources from 2007 to 2013. During this time, they were responsible for screening and interviewing job applicants, formulating and reviewing HR policies and procedures, and maintaining the recruitment database.

In 2013, Bagajo joined Diamond Trust Bank as Deputy Head of Human Resources. They oversaw various HR functions, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation and benefits, and performance management. They also played a key role in conceiving quarterly board reports and executing group strategies, as well as initiating and leading an employee satisfaction survey.

Bagajo then joined Habib Bank AG Zurich in 2017 as the Head of Human Resources. They developed the HR department from scratch, establishing organizational guidelines and automating processes such as the leave application system. They continued in this role until 2020.

From 2020 to 2023, Bagajo worked as a Senior HR Consultant at Alternative HR Consulting Ltd. They specialized in developing and implementing HR strategies and models, supporting clients with strategic plan implementation, and implementing best practices to meet HR outcomes.

Currently, Bagajo holds the position of Head of Human Resources at Habib Bank AG Zurich, where they are responsible for executing HR strategy, managing stakeholders, and ensuring efficiency in both HR and business processes.

Noor Bagajo (MIHRM) completed their education in a chronological manner. They obtained a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Kenya Polytechnic University College in the years 2004-2006. Following this, in 2009, they pursued a Higher Diploma in HRM from the Institute of Human Resources Management.

In the same year, Noor also earned a Certificate in Counselling from the Institute of Human Resource Management. Moving forward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Moi University from 2010 to 2012.

Noor continued their educational journey by enrolling in Kenyatta University, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Human Resource Management from 2017 to 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Noor Bagajo has obtained several certifications. They completed the Succession Planning certification from LinkedIn in November 2022, the Negotiating with Agility certification from LinkedIn in September 2020, and the Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself certification from LinkedIn in August 2020.
