Uzma Murshed

Uzma Murshed has a strong background in operational risk management, with extensive experience in the banking industry. Uzma most recently served as the Group Head of Operational Risk at Habib Bank AG Zurich, where they focused on strengthening the operational risk framework across the organization. Prior to that, they held leadership roles at Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Barclays Bank, and ABN AMRO Bank. Uzma Murshed began their education at St. Josephs Convent Karachi in 1980, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. From 1981 to 1985, they attended Pakistan Embassy Internal School in Beijing, where they pursued a Science degree (SSC) under the Federal Board curriculum. In 1987, they enrolled at the University of Kent, where they studied Maths and Computer Science, earning a BSc degree from 1987 to 1989. Uzma then attended Government Commerce College in Karachi for a year in 1990, where they obtained a BCom degree in Commerce. Finally, they pursued an MBA with a specialization in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Karachi, completing the program from 1991 to 1994.
