Suhail Zubaid-Ahmad

Suhail Zubaid-Ahmad is the current Chief Compliance Officer/ CAMLO at Habib Canadian Bank. Prior to this, they were with Sun Life Financial from January 2012 to December 2014 as their AVP, Regulatory Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Suhail was also with AGF Trust Company from January 2010 to December 2012 as their Director of Compliance. Zubaid-Ahmad has over 10 years of experience in managing RCM and financial crimes programs. Suhail is skilled in coordinating with the CAMLO for global AML programs, heading a team, and handling complaints.

Suhail Zubaid-Ahmad graduated from Columbia Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Suhail then went on to earn their Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation. Suhail has also completed an Executive Management Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. In addition, they have completed SOX Training Workshops at both Columbia University and Northwestern University.

Suhail Zubaid-Ahmad reports to Muslim Hassan, President & Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Arthur Garipov - Chief Risk Officer, Isabelle Fernandes - HR Manager, and Adil S. Mavalvala - Chief Operating Officer. Some direct reports include Amanda Mitilda Anthony - Officer- Compliance, Dilnavaz Irani - Senior Officer- Compliance.
