Maureen Savage

Maureen completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication studies at Western Michigan University. During her graduate programs, Maureen taught several undergraduate courses in interpersonal and visual communication and participated in research on the role of radio in crisis communication. While her background is in public radio broadcasting, Maureen has always had an interest in community activism and volunteering. Maureen joined the AmeriCorps VISTA program in 2015 to get her feet wet in the nonprofit sector, and was thrilled to be offered a full-time position at the end of her AmeriCorps service. Maureen has served as Communication and Marketing Coordinator since 2016.
