Gustavo Camarano

Gustavo Camarano, MD, PhD, CPC, CCDS, CHCQM-PHYADV, EDAC, currently serves as Physician Advisor and Medical Director of Care Management at Hackensack Meridian Health - Jersey Shore University Medical Center since March 2020. Gustavo is a member of the Leadership Council for ACDIS, beginning September 2024. Previous roles include Physician Advisor at Allegheny Health Network from September 2015 to February 2020 and Medical Coder Consultant at FairCode Associates from October 2012 to October 2019. Gustavo has also contributed as a member of the Clinical Documentation Integrity Committee at the American College of Physician Advisors and served as Vice President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of AAPC. With extensive experience in cardiology, Gustavo held roles as Staff Physician and Institutional Review Board member at multiple health institutions. Education includes a PhD from the University of Sao Paulo and an MD from the Medical School of Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
