Mark Anderson

Mark Anderson serves as the Chair of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center since January 2017, with additional roles as Interim Chair and Chief of the Division of Cardiac Surgery. Concurrently, Mark is a Professor of Surgery at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall. Mark has held significant positions such as Vice-Chair of Cardiac Surgical Services at Hackensack Meridian Health and Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Einstein Healthcare Network. Prior experience includes roles at UMDNJ, the University of Miami, the University of South Florida, and Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College, a Master of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Rosemont College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biochemistry from the University of Vermont, and foundational schooling at Lake Forest High School and Millbrook School.
