Patrick Van Horne

Mr. Patrick Van Horne, Deputy Director of Preparedness, is an emergency management and homeland security professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the private sector, local government, and the military. With extensive experience in organizational leadership and project management, Patrick has supported clients in pursuing disaster preparedness initiatives that include developing emergency plans, designing and facilitating training and exercise programs, leading after-action analyses, as well as reporting and performing program assessments.

Prior to joining Hagerty, Patrick served with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) in Boulder, Colorado, where he responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, a mass fatality event following a shooting at a Boulder grocery store, and multiple wildfires. Patrick began his career as an officer in the United State Marine Corps (USMC) after 9/11, co-authored the book, Left of Bang: How the Marine Corps’ Combat Hunter Program Can Save Your Life, and has supported homeland security professionals in terrorism prevention education.

Patrick graduated from Fordham University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and from Marist College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
