Renée L. Zipprich

Renée Zipprich, Hagerty’s General Counsel, is a skillful legal professional with more than two decades of experience. Following a robust career in litigation and compliance at two large national law firms, Renée oversees all of Hagerty’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and employment issues. Additionally, she supports the firm’s contract and corporate compliance by drafting and approving policies, procedures, regulations, contracts, and other legal documents.

Prior to joining Hagerty, Renée supported the litigation practice team at Lathrop Gage as a class-action litigator. Before that, Renée was named partner at a Chicago-based firm, Dykema Gossett, one of the nation’s 150 largest law firms. In this role, her practice focused on commercial litigation matters, with a primary focus on complex consumer class action litigation, intellectual property, and antitrust and trade regulation. For her high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, Renée was named an Illinois Super Lawyer and Rising Star by Law & Politics and the publishers of Chicago Magazine in 2008, 2009, and 2011.

Renée received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola University School of Law. During her time in law school, she externed at the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and was the senior articles editor for the Annals of Health Law and Policy Law Review from 2002 to 2003. She also earned the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) award for highest achievement in Antitrust.
