Matthew von Dayton

Matthew von Dayton is a versatile professional in the film and video industry, currently serving as a Video Specialist at Hagerty since June 2020. As a Founding Partner of The Treefort Collective, established in September 2012, Matthew has contributed significantly to building a production company focused on creative exploration and expansion. Previous experience includes acting as Director of Photography for FishSoup Films, where responsibilities included operating advanced camera setups and conducting various filming techniques. Matthew also served as a Digital Video Lab TA at Grand Valley State University, guiding post-production processes. Early career experience includes a role as Head Breeder at Matt's Geckos, where habitat maintenance and selective breeding of leopard geckos were key responsibilities. Matthew holds a degree in Film and Video with a focus on Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Grand Valley State University.
