Roger Horowitz

Director, Center for the History of Business, Technology, & Society at Hagley Museum & Library

Roger Horowitz is an experienced historian specializing in business and technology. Since April 1994, Roger has served as the Director and Associate Director of the Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library, where responsibilities include initiating programs to promote the utilization of research collections. In addition, Roger holds the position of Secretary-Treasurer for the Business History Conference since March 1999, administering the largest academic organization of business historians in the United States. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Delaware since September 1991, Roger teaches courses in oral history and food history while advising graduate students in the History Department. Roger earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1982 and 1990.
