Hahn-Schickard
Thomas Guenther is a highly experienced professional in the fields of biomedical engineering and microtechnology. Currently serving as a Scientific Advisor and Group Lead at Hahn-Schickard since July 2013, Thomas focuses on research and development related to micromechanical components and systems. Additionally, Thomas holds the position of Deputy Director at the Institute for Microintegration at the University of Stuttgart. Previous roles include Research Scientist at Bionic Vision Australia, where technology development for chip-scale bionic implants was emphasized, and Research Associate at the University of New South Wales, specializing in sensor integration for implantable bionics. Thomas has also contributed to IMTEK at the University of Freiburg as a Research Assistant and has experience as a Visiting Scholar at Victhom Human Bionics. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UNSW and a Dipl.-Ing. in Microsystems Technologies from IMTEK, along with a diploma in Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Material Sciences from Karl-Arnold-Schule Biberach.
