Nia Yli-Jaakkola

Nia Yli-Jaakkola has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nia started their career in 2006 as a Salesperson at BESTSELLER, where they were responsible for cashier duties and maintaining the store's visual appearance.

In 2007, they joined JC Jeans & Clothes as a Department Manager and Visual Merchandiser, overseeing the store's visual appearance, sales, and inventory management. Nia held this role until 2012.

During 2012, Nia worked at Marsaana Communications Oy as a PR Coordinator, managing communication for beauty, interior, and lifestyle accounts. Nia handled client communication, press releases, and event planning. Nia also worked as a Showroom and Communications Trainee, focusing on maintaining the showroom's visual appearance and assisting with events.

In 2012, Nia also worked at Mercatus Oy as a Designer, utilizing their design skills with acrylics, graphite pencils, and watercolors.

From 2013 to 2016, Nia joined Lindex as a Deputy Store Manager and Department Manager, responsible for work scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.

In 2015, Nia briefly worked at Virtually Oy as a Designer, before joining Smarp Oy in 2017. At Smarp Oy, they initially worked as an Office Coordinator, handling office space administration and coordinating company events. Nia then advanced to the role of Administrative Manager, where they took on additional responsibilities in office management and finance. Eventually, they became the Finance and Administration Manager, overseeing group finance, payroll, and office administration.

In 2022, Nia joined Haiilo as the Senior Manager of Finance Operations, where they manage finance operations for multiple countries, including reporting, accounting, payroll, and sales commissions. Nia also oversees global office administration and revenue operations.

Nia Yli-Jaakkola started their education at Nurmijärvi Senior High School from 2002-2005, where they graduated as a Secondary School Graduate. Nia then pursued their interest in fashion and clothing by attending Helsinki City College of Culinary Art, Fashion and Beauty from 2007-2009, where they earned a degree as a Dressmaker. Nia further expanded their knowledge in the field by completing a Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Clothing from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2009-2014. In more recent years, Nia enrolled at LAB University of Applied Sciences from 2020-2022 to pursue a Master's degree in International Business Management, specifically completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
