Dr.-Ing. Philipp Sommer

Dr.-Ing. Philipp Sommer currently serves as Bereichsleiter Automation & Digitalisierung and Leiter Digitale Transformation & IT at HAINBUCH GMBH SPANNENDE TECHNIK since April 2018. Prior to this role, Philipp Sommer worked as an Akademischer Mitarbeiter at the Institut für Steuerungstechnik der Werkzeugmaschinen und Fertigungseinrichtungen (ISW) from March 2014 to March 2018, focusing on project management, virtual and augmented reality, virtual commissioning, software development, and NC control core development. Early experience includes two internships in firmware software development at Bosch Rexroth in 2012 and 2013, specifically on the MotionLogicControl (MLC). Philipp Sommer holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechatronik und Automatisierungstechnik and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechatronik from the University of Stuttgart, along with an Allgemeine Hochschulreife from Hölderlin Gymnasium Nürtingen.
