Michelle Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Michelle started their career in 2006 at The Institute For Family Enrichment, where they served as an In Home Parent Support Provider until 2009. From 2006 to 2009, they were also a Healthy Start Trainer at TIFFE. In 2010, they became a Co-Therapist at Joseph Giovannoni, Inc. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a Senior Advisor. In 2019, they joined Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaiʻi as a Board Member. Michelle also began working as the Chief Program Officer at Hale Kipa in 2019.

Michelle Jenkins attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chaminade University of Honolulu from 2008 to 2011.
