Chris Hockett

Chris Hockett currently serves as a Technical Expert and Geo-Civil Engineer at Haley & Aldrich since January 2023. With extensive experience in the engineering field, Chris held the position of Principal Engineer at Cal Engineering & Geology for nearly two decades, from July 2004 to January 2023. Leadership roles include serving as President of the South Bay Engineers Club from October 2014 to October 2020 and Co-Chair of the East Bay Municipal Engineers from January 2012 to December 2013. Chris began a career in engineering as a Project Engineer at Webcor Builders in early 2004 and previously worked as a Sales Associate at Nordstrom from 1994 to 1999. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering from San José State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, complemented by a German Minor from Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany.
