Pilar Guzman Zavala

Pilar Guzman Zavala has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Pilar currently serves as the CEO and Business Development Officer at Half Moon Empanadas, where they lead operations and expansion efforts. Pilar is also a Board Member at Georgetown University's Master of Science in Foreign Service program, Venture Café Miami, and IMPACT. In the past, they have been involved in the Miami Fellows Program at The Miami Foundation, participated in the Young American Leaders Program, and served as a Ricardo Salinas Scholar at The Aspen Institute. Pilar has also worked as a National Program Associate at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, an Advisor to the Governor for International Affairs in the State of Veracruz, Mexico, and was a Leadership Miami Fellow at the Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Pilar Guzman Zavala holds a Master's degree in Economic Development from Georgetown University, which they pursued from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (LAE) from Tecnológico de Monterrey, from 1997 to 2001. In 2000, they also studied International Trade at Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
