Ross Monte

Ross Monte, P.E. has a diverse range of work experience in engineering. Ross is currently employed at Halff Associates as a Land Development Engineer, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, from December 2018 to June 2021, Ross worked at HP Civil Engineering as a Project Engineer III. In this role, they conducted Land Development engineering for multi-family and commercial projects in multiple cities in Texas. Ross was responsible for designing wastewater, water, and storm utilities using CIVIL 3D software and performing Hydraulics and Hydrology analysis for site drainage and detention. Ross also has experience in the offshore industry, having worked at Heerema Marine Contractors from November 2013 to October 2018 as an Engineer. In this role, they conducted Finite Element Analysis, Structural Analysis, and Structural Dynamics to assess riser and flowline functionality and plan structural installations. Ross also oversaw offshore installations and conducted project inspections and surveys. Ross gained early engineering experience as an Intern at the National Thermodynamics Laboratory from May 2011 to May 2012. Here, they contributed to crude oil characterization and collaborated on a project related to methane hydrate harvesting. Ross used FEA software to model stresses and deflections on piping systems. Additionally, Ross interned at EPCON International from May 2011 to September 2011, where they performed pipe flow analysis and optimization for refinery systems using Engineer's Aid pipe flow simulation software. Overall, Ross Monte has a well-rounded background in engineering, with expertise in land development, hydraulic analysis, offshore installations, and pipe flow analysis.

Ross Monte, P.E. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Maritime Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2013. In 2016, they obtained the Engineer In Training certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Later in 2019, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the same institution.
