James Clarke

James Clarke has extensive work experience in the field of tax accounting and management. James started their career as an Assistant Tax Consultant at PwC in 1996, where they worked until 1999. James then joined Hanson plc as a Group Tax Accountant, where they worked from 1999 to 2003. After that, they worked at Mowlem plc as a Group VAT Manager & Group Tax Accountant from 2003 to 2006. Currently, they are the Head of Group Tax at Halma plc, a position they have held since 2006. In this role, they are responsible for managing the worldwide group's tax matters, including tax planning, tax strategy, M&A, and tax accounting.

James Clarke attended the University of Oxford from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law. James further pursued their education at the same institution, obtaining a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 1994-1995. Their studies during this time focused on various subjects including Taxation, Conflict of Laws, Restitution, and Jurisprudence & Political Theory.
