Steve Gunning

Steve Gunning serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Halma plc since January 2023. Prior to this role, Gunning held various positions including Chief Financial Officer at International Airlines Group (IAG) from June 2019 to March 2022, and Chief Financial Officer at British Airways from January 2016 to June 2019. Gunning has extensive experience in the aviation sector, having also served as Chief Executive Officer of IAG Cargo and Director of Global Services at IAG GBS. Gunning has held influential roles in industry committees, notably as Chairman of the Cargo Committee at the International Air Transport Association from 2012, and has been a Trustee of British Airways' defined benefit pension schemes. Gunning's educational background includes a Master of Engineering and Management from the University of Birmingham and completion of the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard University.
