Ray Afrasiabi

Ray Afrasiabi is currently a Sr. Principal Digital Design Engineer at Halo Microelectronics since November 2022. Prior to this, Ray held the position of Sr. Staff Design Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific from September 2015 to November 2022. Ray has a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ohio University. Ray has been involved in architecture definition, design, ASIC manufacturing, test, and verification in both roles. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ray specifically focused on designing complex DNA sequencing ASIC, covering all design aspects including architecture, RTL design, synthesis, place and route, DFT insertion, and simulations.
