Rizwan Sadiq

Rizwan Sadiq's work experience begins in 2021 at the Qatar Computing Research Institute, where they are currently employed as a Postdoctoral-AI Researcher. In this role, they are working on the Belmont project for flood mapping and vulnerability assessment, utilizing satellite imagery and social media text and images to analyze various aspects of floods. Rizwan is also responsible for developing machine learning models for image and text data.

From 2018 to 2021, Rizwan worked at XPLAIN as the Lead Data Scientist - Computer Vision. Here, they focused on research and development of machine learning and computer vision algorithms to enhance client's visual advertisement campaigns. Rizwan also played a role in data collection, cleaning, annotation, and processing.

In 2019, Rizwan had a role as the Sr. Data Scientist at Impressions.app, but the duration is not specified.

Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, Rizwan worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Survey Expert, where they led the development of an innovative emotion recognition system for visual surveys. This system analyzed users' speech and facial expressions to understand their emotional responses and aimed to provide clients with valuable user feedback insights.

From 2013 to 2019, Rizwan held multiple positions at Koç University, including Teaching Assistant and Research Associate.

Before their time at Koç University, Rizwan worked as a Lecturer at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology from 2012 to 2013.

Their work experience also includes a role as a Lab Engineer at the International Islamic University Islamabad from 2008 to 2012 and as a BSS Engineer in the Telecommunication industry from 2007 to 2008.

Rizwan Sadiq completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koç University in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electronic Engineering from the International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2011. Before pursuing their master's degree, Rizwan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology in 2007. Their educational journey began at Army Burn Hall College Abbottabad, where they completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in either Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical in 2002.
