Anthony Salz

Chairman at Hambro Perks

Sir Anthony is the Chairman of Hambro Perks, and was formally the Chairman of its advisory board.

He was a corporate lawyer with Freshfields for over 30 years and spent the last 10 as its Senior Partner. Sir Anthony then joined Rothschild as Executive Vice Chairman, where he served for 11 years.

Sir Anthony serves as trustee of the Tate Foundation. Sir Anthony is a director The Scott Trust Limited, the owner of the Guardian Media Group. Sir Anthony also holds various other trustee and non-executive roles, including serving as trustee of the Conran Foundation and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. He is a member of the Investment Committees of both The Scott Trust Limited and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, each of which has endowment funds in excess of £800 million.

Previous roles include Vice Chair of the BBC Board of Governors, a member of the Board of the Department for Education, Chair of Teach First’s Business Development Council and of Bloomsbury Publishing plc, and a Trustee of the Royal Opera House. He has chaired reviews on Youth Crime, Press Regulation and Barclays PLC’s Business Practices.
